Two Indians on death row executed in UAE after conviction for murder
PTC News Desk: Two Indian nationals convicted in separate murder cases and sentenced to death were executed in UAE, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on Thursday.
Both the Indian nationals were native of Kerala and identified as Muhammed Rinash Arangilottu who was found guilty in the murder of UAE national and Muraleedharan Perumthatta Valappil was sentenced to death for killing a fellow Indian immigrant.
The MEA confirmed that the embassy had extended all available consular and legal support throughout the process.
According to MEA, the Indian Embassy had submitted multiple mercy petitions and apardon requests, however the UAE's top court upheld the death sentences. The embassy is now working towards family's participation in last rites.
