WATCH | Massive fire breaks out in 5 coaches of train in Maharashtra
PTC News Desk: A massive fire broke out in Ahmednagar-bound DEMU train on Monday. The incident was caught on camera, and the video is making the rounds on social media. The coaches of the train are on fire, as shown in the video, and a massive blaze is emerging from them. Firefighters have rushed to the scene, and the rescue and operation to douse the fire is underway.
According to sources, the five coaches of the eight-coach DEMU train caught fire between Ahmednagar and Narayanpur stations at 3 p.m. The fire department has arrived and is working to put out the fire. The fire broke out in the guard-side brake van and four adjacent coaches. Fortunately, all of the passengers got off the train on time and were safe.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. A massive tragedy was averted when the passengers departed the train on time. The railways will investigate the incident and determine what caused the fire.
"Train No. 01402 new Ashti to Ahmednagar DEMU- Km 360/8 between Narayandoh to Ahmednagar section- Fire reported in the 5 coaches of train-at 15:00 hrs, in Guard-side brake van and 4 Adjacent coaches to it. The fire brigade arrived at site, work is going on for fire control. No any casualty and no any injury. All passengers in train got down safely before spread of fire. Railway ART (Accident relief train) sent from Daund to Site," the Central Railways said.
