Wreath-laying ceremony held at renovated Shradhanjali Sthal at Army Heritage Museum, Annandale
PTC News Desk: The renovated Shradhanjali Sthal at the Army Heritage Museum Annandale was formally rededicated through a wreath-laying ceremony led by Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Army Training Command (ARTRAC).
The ceremony also witnessed the dedication of a majestic 52-feet-high National Flag of India, symbolising the nation’s unity, pride and the supreme sacrifices made by soldiers in the service of the motherland. The towering Tricolour now stands as a prominent and inspiring landmark within the Army Heritage Museum complex, one of Shimla’s important tourist attractions with substantial visitor footfall throughout the year.
Military personnel of Headquarter ARTRAC, Station Units Ex Servicemen and NCC Cadets were present in the wreath-laying ceremony and paid solemn homage to the brave hearts of the Indian Army. The renovated Shradhanjali Sthal has been upgraded to enhance its sanctity and aesthetic dignity, reinforcing its role as a place of reverence, reflection and inspiration.
The rededication of the memorial and the installation of the 52-ft National Flag reaffirm the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to honouring its fallen heroes and preserving its rich legacy of valour, sacrifice and patriotism.
