Passport no more legitimate address proof, new design soon : Passports will no more be serving as legitimate address proof with the Foreign Ministry affirming that the final web page won’t be printed anymore, new design soon.The final web page of the Indian passport contains names of the father or authorized guardian, mom, spouse, and deal with.
The decision follows the report of a three-member committee of the foreign ministry and the Women and Child Development Ministry that examined calls for doing away with the father's name in the passport.
The report had been accepted, a foreign ministry spokesperson mentioned. The final web page of the passport will probably be clean within the new model. The information will, however, be saved within the system of the Exterior Affairs Ministry , so it won’t have an effect on the federal government.
“Because the final web page of the passport wouldn't be printed now , the passport holders with ECR standing could be issued a passport with orange passport jacket and people with non-ECR standing would proceed to get a blue passport,” mentioned the spokesman.The brand new passports will probably be designed by the Indian Safety Press , Nasik.
Passports at the moment are issued in three colors. Authorities officers have a white passport, diplomats have issued pink passports and all others are blue.
