Union minister Chirag Paswan gets death threat from 'hardcore terrorists'; seeks more security
PTC Web Desk: Union Minister Chirag Paswan has received a threatening message claiming that he would be killed by “hardcore terrorists”. Following this, his office has sought a detailed investigation and enhanced security.
Paswan, who heads the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), is currently serving as the Union Minister for Food Processing Industries. He is also a Z-category protectee.
According to his office, an unsigned communication containing two mobile phone numbers was received at the ministry on Tuesday. When the message was opened, it was found to contain a direct threat to the minister’s life.
In a letter to Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Alok Kumar Singh, Additional Private Secretary to Paswan, described the threat as a serious security concern.

Paswan’s office has requested the Union Home Ministry to conduct a thorough probe into the communication and assess the security arrangements provided to the minister.
Notably, Paswan, the 42-year-old son of late political stalwart Ram Vilas Paswan, has been a prominent figure in Bihar politics and a key ally within the NDA coalition at the Centre. His party performed strongly in recent electoral contests, cementing his position as a significant voice in national politics.
