'Delhi will be run from jail': AAP amid CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest fear
PTC News Desk: BJP wants all Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders behind bars and if this happens the Delhi government will be run from jail, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said amid the party's national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest fear.
Notably, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Kejriwal on November 2 at 11 a.m. in connection with a money laundering probe linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.
On Tuesday, the AAP expressed apprehensions that Kejriwal would be arrested by the probe agency on Thursday. The other two senior-most AAP leaders, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, are already in jail on similar charges.
When asked about the party's strategy if Kejriwal was arrested, Bhardwaj said senior party leaders would decide the next steps.
"It would be decided by the party's senior leaders. However, if the entire party ends up in jail, both the government and the party run from jail. And this is what the BJP wants: that everyone is jailed...They want free education, free electricity, free water, free pilgrimage, hospitals, and mohalla clinics to end," he stated.
On Tuesday, AAP leader Atishi said that other INDIA alliance leaders could be targeted after Kejriwal.
"After failing to defeat Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, they will now target him. They will then go after Tejashwi Yadav because they have not been able to break the Bihar alliance. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin will then be targeted," she added.
