Gujarat election 2022: Polling date to be announced at 12 pm
New Delhi: The Election Commission is expected to announce the Gujarat Assembly elections date today at 12 noon. There are total 182 seats in Gujarat Vidhan Sabha and the magic number of majority is 92. In the 2017 elections, the BJP formed the government by winning 99 seats. The opposition Congress got 77 seats and others six. It is certain that amidst all the questions and speculations, the ruling BJP, opposition Congress and Aam Aadmi Party leaders-workers are also putting their full strength in the election campaign. Earlier, the Election Commission had announced the dates for the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha elections. Himachal Pradesh will go to polls in a single phase on November 12 and the counting of votes will take place on December 8. The last date for filing nominations was October 25.
