Gujarat Elections Phase 2 2022: Gujarat recorded a voter turnout of 58.80 percent until 5 p.m. on Monday in the second phase of assembly elections for 93 seats in the state.
The state had 50.51 percent voter turnout as of 3 p.m.
According to Election Commission data, Sabarkantha district had the highest voter turnout (65.84%), while Ahmedabad had the lowest voter turnout (53.57%).
Gandhinagar witnessed a 59.14 percent voter turnout, Anand - 59.04 percent, Arvalli 60.18 percent, Banaskantha 65.65 percent, Chhotaudepur 62.04 percent, Dahod 55.80 percent and Kheda 62.65 per cent.
Mahesana recorded a voter turnout of 61.01 percent, Mahisagar 54.26 percent, Panchmahal 62.03 percent, Patan 57.28 and Vadodara 58 percent.

The second and final phase of the Gujarat Assembly Elections for 93 Assembly constituencies spread across 14 districts in the north and central Gujarat began at 8 a.m. on Monday, amid tight security arrangements.
In the second phase of the Gujarat elections, 833 candidates from 61 parties were running. Over 2.51 crore voters were eligible to cast ballots.
The Election Commission set up 26,409 polling stations and nearly 36,000 Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were used. To facilitate the second phase of voting, approximately 29,000 presiding officers and over 84,000 polling officers were deployed.
During the first phase of polling on December 1, Gujarat saw an overall turnout of 63.14 per cent. Voting was held in 89 constituencies in the first phase. Votes will be counted on December 8.
