PTC News Desk: Mohan Yadav has been named as the next Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. The decision was made following the BJP legislature meeting in Bhopal on Monday.

After being named Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Yadav thanked the state as well as central leadership while affirming that his government will try to fulfil all responsibilities.

"I am a small worker of the party. I thank all of you, the state leadership and the central leadership. With your love and support, I will try to fulfil my responsibilities," the CM-designate Mohan Yadav said.

In the 2023 assembly election, the 58-year-old politician won the Ujjain South constituency for the third time in a row, with a margin of 12,941 votes.

His political career began in 2013 when he was elected as an MLA for the first time, and he was re-elected in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh assembly election.

Yadav's political clout in the state was cemented further when he was sworn in as a cabinet minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government on July 2, 2020.

Mohan Yadav, who was born on March 25, 1965, in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has been a long-time member of the BJP.

Aside from his political activities, he is also a businessman. He has two sons and a daughter with his wife Seema Yadav.

Mohan Yadav holds many degrees, including a BSC, LLB, MA, MBA, and PhD.

Mohan Yadav belongs to the other backward class. With his appointment, the BJP seeks to woo the OBC population, which accounts for more than half of Madhya Pradesh's electorate.

Mohan Yadav has a good public image and the support of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

He is also involved in the wrestling associations in his state.
