Polling was stopped at Village Rupalo in Samrala in Ludhiana district here following detection of wrong entries in the ballot papers about the symbols and candidates’ names.

Amid heavy and tight security, Punjab Panchayat elections began in 13,000 Panchayats in the state Electors queued up in morning to cast their votes.
The voting began at 8 am , which will continue till 4 pm.The results of the elections will be announced in evening after the polling.
