PTC Web Desk: Residents of Wave Estate, Sector 85, Mohali,  organised Baisakhi Mela at Park No. 12 Block A, drawing a vibrant crowd from Sectors 85 and 99. The event showcased Punjab's rich cultural heritage and attracted attendees of all ages.

The programme boasted an array of energetic performances, including captivating bhangra, gidha, and spell-bound performance by kids. Audiences were treated to further displays of traditional Punjabi dance forms such as 'Malwai Gidha', 'Ludi' and 'Jhoomar'. The evening reached its peak with a standout performance by acclaimed singer Jas Kaur, whose powerful vocals resonated with the audience, earning enthusiastic applause and cheers. Children delighted in the kids cultural fancy dress show. 



Culinary stalls offered an array of traditional Punjabi dishes. Family-friendly attractions such as camel rides and a bounce castle provided engaging entertainment for younger participants.

Satwinder Singh Malhi, one of the organisers of the event, expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the event's success. He highlighted the importance of cultural preservation, saying, "We take pride in promoting and living our Punjabi culture. Events like this ensure our future generations understand and appreciate our heritage. It was a momentous occasion for all residents of Wave Estate Sectors 85 and 99 to witness this extraordinary cultural celebration."
