Indian student Gursahib Singh dies in road accident in Canada’s Surrey
PTC News Desk: After the tragic and heart-breaking tales of several Indian youths across foreign shores, another horrific incident from Canada came to limelight which gripped tensions, scare and chaos and descended a pall of gloom on Punjab’s Amritsar.
In a recent horrific and heartbreaking incident, 23-year-old youth identified as Gursahib Singh from Punjab’s Amritsar killed in a tragic road accident in Canada’s Surrey.
The fatal incident unfolded when Gursahib Singh was walking home from college and suddenly, three over speeding vehicles collided, trapping Gursahib amidst the wreckage, leading to his untimely demise on the spot.
Gursahib Singh embarked on a journey to pursue study in Surrey about a month ago i.e. on March 13, 2024.
Devastated by the loss, Gursahib’s family members appealed to both the Central Government and the Punjab Government for assistance and urged for visa processing to Canada to bring back their son’s remains from Canada.
Several such cases of Indian youths abroad have created a state of panic back home in India. Now parents are either not willing to send their children abroad or whose wards are already settled there are in a state of anxiety and panic.
