Ludhiana: VIP car occupants fire at Ladhowal toll plaza staff when asked for IDs
PTC News Desk: Tense moments erupted at the Ladhowal toll plaza in Ludhiana late last night when a group of men travelling in a car allegedly fired shots at toll employees.
The confrontation began after the group insisted on using the VIP lane. One of the occupants reportedly claimed to be a department chairman, but when staff requested identification, the group became furious and opened fire. Police arrived soon after and have launched an investigation.
Toll worker Kuljit Singh stated that the vehicle was travelling from Ludhiana towards Phillaur, with around seven to eight people inside. He said the group fired five shots at the toll staff. When employees attempted to stop them, the attackers fled towards the South City bridge, he added.
