Patiala SSP viral audio: Advocate Arshdeep Kler appears before SIT, seeks thorough investigation into matter
PTC News Desk: Shiromani Akali Dal's chief spokesperson Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler appeared before the SIT as a complainant for questioning in connection with viral audio clip involving Patiala SSP and other police officials. The SIT is headed by ADGP SSP Parmar.
Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler during the interrogation said that he had submitted a copy of the petition and the video to SIT chief SPS Parmar. He added that he stands firm on his complaint. He further said that when the matter first came to light, the Patiala SSP should have been immediately suspended, but the government appears to be supporting him.
Advocate Kler also criticised the State Election Commission, saying it was extremely unfortunate that the Commission had not taken any action against the SSP. He further alleged that the SIT seems intent on framing opposition leaders in the case.
He added that they have requested the High Court to direct the Patiala DIG to submit in writing that the video be tested through AI or any expert investigation.
