On Punjab Police's crackdown on farmers, AAP MP Sanjay Singh says, "Commuters in Punjab were facing issues for the past one year, the farmers should also think about this. We respect the farmers, though and we will continue to stand with them."
On removing protesting farmers and protest sites bein razed, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said, "It's just the road that has been cleared. This was becoming an obstacle for the youth of Punjab, for farmers of Punjab, for the import and export of their produce. The fight is against Centre and we should fight it there. We too will join them in their fight but we should not cause a loss to Punjab..."

Punjab Congress MPs held a protest outside the Parliament against the state government for its crackdown on protesting farmers. The MPs have also demanded CBI inquiry into the matter.
Punjab's finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that the action against farmers was necessary as the state's economy was suffering a huge loss due to their agitation.

Two days after punjab government's crackdown over protesting farmers, Punjab agriculture minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian has called a meeting with farmers at 4 pm on Friday at Punjab Bhawan.
A ruckus was created during Governor's address and Congress MLAs stages a walkout in protest against state government.
The Punjab budget session commenced with governor's address with 'jai jawan jai kisan' slogans raised in the assembly.
PTC News Updates: The Punjab Assembly budget session commenced on Friday with Governor's address. All the MLAs of the state ruled Aam Aadmi Party and opposition arrived at Vidhan Sabha. The session convened on March 21 and will conclude on March 28.
The session is most likely to be a stormy affair owing to the recent crackdown on farmers by the AAP government. The opposition has also accused the government over its incompetency to properly handle the issue of the Colonel being beaten up by police in Patiala.
Opposition parties also plan to introspect the ruling AAP on several issues, including law and order, the detention of farmer leaders, the rising state debt, and the non-implementation of poll promises.
The Punjab government will present the budget on March 26.
