Punjab farmer missing for nine days, found in Pakistan Ranger's custody
PTC News Desk: A farmer who went missing nine days ago has been found in Pakistan's custody. Amritpal Singh, 23 is suspected to cross the Zero line at India Pakistan border near Rana Panjgrain village in Punjab's Ferozepur.
The farmer has his agricultural land in the jurisdiction of Rana Panjgrain which is near the Zero line. Farmers who have land beyond the border fence managed by the BSF ought to sign in and out.
On June 21, Amritpal signed in to go on till his land but did not sign out. The BSF then contacted his family to know weather he reached home or know and that is when the BSF came to know about his absence.
Upon learning that he has gone missing, BSF contacted the Pakistan Rangers who confirmed that Amritpal Singh is in their custody. BSF authorites are holding meetings with Pakistani counterparts to fecilitate Singh's return.
The Border Security Forces have written to Guru Harsahai police station to register an FIR.
