Punjab Winter Session Day 2: Four bill passed on second day of Punjab Vidhan Sabha session, proceedings adjourned indefinitely
Punjab Winter Session Day 2: The second and last day of two-day Winter Session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha begins today, marking the fifth session of the current Vidhan Sabha.
In today’s Vidhan Sabha session, discussions took place on three major agendas which include the presentation of three crucial Bills in the Vidhan Sabha: the Punjab Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, 2023; The Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2023; and the Indian Stamp (Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2023.
During the proceeding of the session, Congress has been accused of failing to respond to the questions raised by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA Dr Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi.
During the session, Dr Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi also raised issue of new education policy in the House and questioned the state’s claims of just 14 dengue deaths this year.
During the last and second day of 2-day Vidhan Sabha session, four bills were passed and after the proceedings Vidhan Sabha was adjourned.
