Rajvir Jawanda's health not showing any improvement, still on life support

PTC Web Desk: Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda remains in a critical condition after sustaining severe injuries in a road accident near Pinjore. He has been admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, where he has been on ventilator support for the past five days.

According to the health bulletin issued by doctors, Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda remains on life support under close monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosciences teams at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. His neurological status continues to be critical, with no significant clinical improvement observed. The overall prognosis remains guarded. Jawanda has suffered serious head and spinal injuries in the crash. Due to insufficient oxygen supply to the body, he has developed weakness in his arms and legs.


As his health battles continue, prayers are being held at several gurdwaras for his recovery. Notable Punjabi singers, including Kulwinder Billa, Ammy Virk and Kanwar Grewal, are visiting the hospital on a regular basis. Last evening, Kanwar Grewal urged fans to pray regardless of religion.

Members of social welfare groups also visited him at the hospital and offered ardas for his speedy recovery. 

On September 27, Rajvir Jawanda was brought to Fortis Hospital with severe head and spinal injuries. Doctors reported he had suffered a cardiac arrest before admission. His condition was described as extremely critical. He continues to be on ventilator support with no significant improvement. Doctors have reported low oxygen levels in the body and severe injuries to the neck and back, causing weakness in his limbs. They suggested he may require long-term ventilator support.

The accident took place on September 27 along the Pinjore-Nalagarh road while Jawanda was travelling from Baddi to Shimla on his motorcycle. Witnesses said two bulls were fighting on the road, forcing Jawanda to swerve, which led to his bike colliding with a  Bolero. 

He was initially rushed to Shauri Hospital, where doctors described his pulse as “very weak.” After preliminary treatment, he was referred to Panchkula and then to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, due to his critical condition.
