Punjab: AAP MLA Baljinder Kaur slapped by husband; incident caught on CCTV
Mohali, September 2: A video showing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Talwandi Sabo, Punjab, Prof Baljinder Kaur, being assaulted by her husband has gone viral on social media. After the video surfaced on social media, Punjab Women Commission Chairperson Manisha Gulati took suo moto cognizance of the incident and said," It is upsetting that a woman who raises public issues faces harassment at home."
AAP MLA from Punjab's Talwandi Sabo Baljinder Kaur was slapped by her husband Sukhraj Bal. The incident dates back to July, but its CCTV footage has has now surfaced on social media.
However, MLA Baljinder Kaur and her husband Sukhraj Bal have not issued any statement in this regard.

In the viral video, Baljinder Kaur and her husband Sukhraj can be seen arguing. In the video, Sukhraj suddenly slaps his MLA wife. Some people standing nearby can been seen intervening.
Punjab's Women Development Minister Dr Baljit Kaur said MLA Baljinder Kaur had not made any complaint in this regard.
