Punjab News: Day after the coronavirus death toll increased to 5,769 with 15 new deaths, the state Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will review the Covid-19 situation in Punjab with health experts and senior officers on Tuesday. The review meeting for the COVID-19 situation in Punjab, under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh, will take place at 3 pm on Tuesday. On Monday, Punjab reported 389 new cases taking the total number of coronavirus cases to 1,78,847, the medical bulletin issued by the state health department stated. As of now, there are 3,167 active cases of coronavirus in Punjab. Of new cases, 54 were reported from Jalandhar, 49 from Mohali, and 38 from Hoshiarpur. "I appeal to people to wear masks, sanitise hands and maintain social distance," he said.
