Punjab government cancels pending examinations of PSEB class 12

The Punjab Government on Friday announced that it has decided to cancel the pending examinations of PSEB class 12. Meanwhile, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has decided to declare results on the basis of the best-performing subjects formula.

"Punjab government cancels pending examinations of class XII, open school divulge School Education Minister, Vijay Inder Singla. PSEB to declare results on basis of best-performing subjects formula stated the Cabinet Minister," the Government of Punjab tweeted. 

The decision comes in the wake of rising cases of coronavirus in the state. The coronavirus cases have been rising while people are asking to impose lockdown.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government had also announced the cancellation of exams for final year students in colleges and universities. However, the UGC in its revised guidelines asked the college and universities to conduct final year exams by September end. In the meanwhile, the Punjab Government has asked the centre and UGC to reconsider the decision on the conduct of exams amid coronavirus pandemic.
