Recruitment scam: HC stays arrest of IAS officer Ashok Khemka; seeks reply from Haryana
Chandigarh, May 17: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday put a stay on the arrest of senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka in an FIR registered against him in Panchkula following a reference sent by 2004 batch IAS officer Sanjeev Verma in a recruitment scam.

The case
The Panchkula police in Haryana had booked Khemka and ex-employees of the Haryana State Warehouse Corporation (HSWC) on April 20 following a reference by its MD Sanjeev Verma regarding alleged scam in the recruitment of two officials in the warehousing corporation during the former’s tenure as its MD over 12 years ago.
