Samjhauta Express train to run again from March 3

Samjhauta Express Services to restore from March 3 India and Paksitan agreed to resume Samjhauta Express train service from March 3. The service was suspended last week. The decision to resume the service was taken following the release of Wing Comander Abhinandan Varthaman by Pakistan government. Also Read: Pak resorts to heavy shelling along LoC in J&K On February 28, Pakistan suspended the Samjhauta Express train service. That decision was taken because of escalation in tension between the two nations. The train operates bi-weekly. It departs on Monday and Thursday from Pakistan. Following the Pulwama terror attack, the tensions between India and Pakistan escalated. According to sources, Indian Fighter jets struck major terrorist camp across the LoC and destroyed it completely.  It destroyed control rooms of the Jaish-e-Mohammad. Also Read: Grenade thrown on Army vehicle, no causality in explosion Indian Air Force sources told the media that "12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across LoC (Line of Control), completely destroying them.” Along with Mirage 2000s, drones and early warning jets were also used n this operation. The retaliation came 12 days after the Pulwama terror attack. According to the media sources, all border forces have been put on high alert. Also, Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, called an emergency meeting to review the situation and aftermath of IAF strikes. - PTC NEWS
