MS Dhoni duped of Rs 15 crore; files complaint against two

PTC Web Desk: Renowned cricket figure MS Dhoni has taken legal action by filing a criminal complaint against his former business associates from Aarka Sports and Management Limited. Allegedly defrauded of Rs 15 crore, MS Dhoni's complaint targets Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwas regarding a business deal from 2017.

The agreement supposedly involved the establishment of cricket academies under MS Dhoni's name, both within India and internationally. However, the complaint suggests that the terms specified in the agreement were not adhered to by Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwas, claiming that the firm failed to meet obligations such as paying the stipulated franchise fee and sharing profits as agreed upon.

In response to these alleged breaches, MS Dhoni reportedly withdrew the authorisation letter granted to Aarka Sports on August 15, 2021. Despite subsequent legal notices, the situation remained unresolved. Dhoni, represented by his legal counsel Dayanand Singh, contends that the firm's actions constitute cheating, resulting in a financial loss exceeding and fraud of Rs 15 crore.
