He also expressed gratitude towards Dr. Rupinder and expressed hope for Dr. Navjot's swift recovery.

Accompanying his message were pictures of Dr. Navjot, serving as a testament to her resilience in the face of adversity.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, renowned for his distinctive commentary style in cricket, has returned to the limelight during IPL 2024 with his insightful remarks. However, amidst his professional engagements, Sidhu shared a personal update on social media regarding his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu.

Taking to X platform, Sidhu revealed that his wife is scheduled for her second operation for breast cancer at Dr. Waryam Singh Hospital in Yamunanagar. This poignant announcement shed light on the challenges faced by the Sidhu family, evoking an outpouring of support and well-wishes from fans and followers.

This isn't the first time the Sidhu family has confronted the harsh realities of battling cancer. Last year, during his wife's fifth chemotherapy session, Sidhu had shared an emotional post, highlighting the ongoing struggle against the disease.

In the cricketing sphere, Sidhu's commentary has often been marked by his candid opinions. Recently, he expressed solidarity with Rohit Sharma fans, questioning the rationale behind removing Sharma as the captain of the Mumbai Indians franchise. While Sharma continues to lead the Indian national cricket team, the reins of the IPL team have been passed on to Hardik Pandya.

Sidhu's sentiments echoed the sentiments of many fans, questioning the decision-making process within the franchise. Speculation had been rife that Pandya might be elevated as India's skipper, especially in the T20 format, leading up to the T20 World Cup 2024. However, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed that Rohit Sharma would retain his position as India's captain for the upcoming tournament.

Reflecting on the situation, Sidhu suggested that an earlier announcement by the BCCI regarding Sharma's captaincy might have influenced Mumbai Indians' decision differently. With Sharma's leadership role confirmed, the franchise might have been inclined to retain him as captain, aligning with his national captaincy.

Presently, Hardik Pandya leads the Mumbai Indians, while Rohit Sharma continues to captain the Indian team across all formats. Despite the turbulence in the IPL leadership landscape, cricket enthusiasts continue to rally behind their favourite players, both on and off the field.
