State government didn’t received three member DGP panel yet - Punjab CM Media Advisor
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh , Media Advisor Raveen Thakral on Tuesday ruled out information spreading within the media about the final selection of Director General of Police (DGP).

Punjab’s CM Media Advisor said that, the State government has not received three members DGP panel from Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) yet.

Reacting to the reports carried by a section of media, Media Advisor to CM, Raveen Thukral tweeted , “The state government hasn’t received any panel yet from UPSC. So there is no question of finalization of any name. The State government will consider the panel sent by UPSC on its receipt and then take a call on the appointment of next DGP as per the directions of the apex court”

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in its meeting on February 4 had to finalise the three-member DGP panel. The Punjab Government will take a final call on the selection of new DGP.
