Chandigarh: The Sikh masses today responded with whole-hearted religious fervour and commitment, turning out in massive numbers for performing the sacred Ardas for the restoration and rejuvenation of the historic holy shrine, Gurdwara Gian Godari sahib to its pristine glory. The call for observing May 14 as Ardas Divas for this mission was given by the revered Jathedar SriAkali Takhat Sahin and and various religious bodies, institutions, organizations and parties were seen trying to outform one another in humble seva and religious fervor. “ The Sikh Jagat has responded with whole hearted and devout religious passion and dedication . The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee and the Shiromni Akali Dal spearheaded the institutional and organizational response to the call for the Ardas Divas, each and every worker of the party and office bearers of the SGPC committed themselves to the holy Sikh cause with traditional and impassioned zeal. The Sikh community will carry out this mission most peacefully and democratically but will not flinch from the cause o Sikh sentiments on the issues. The whole Gurdham must be restored to original pristine glory as the earliest,” said Mr Badal. Thanking the entire Sikh jagat and especially the workers and leaders of the SAD worked tirelessly for registering the Sikh kaum's sentiments on the issue. He declared that a high powered delegation of the SAD, comprising senior leaders , would call on the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to secure his personal intervention in the matter so that the issue is resolved and Sikh honor is not compromised nor Sikh sentiments hurt in any manner.” The SAD president appealed to the entire community, including social and political outfits to close ranks and present a united Sikh face.
