Sukhbir Singh Badal condoles passing away of former state chief secretary Rakesh Singh
Rakesh Singh Death: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday mourned the sad demise of former state Chief Secretary Rakesh Singh (64).
In his condolence message, Sukhbir Singh Badal wrote: "Deeply anguished to learn about the demise of former Punjab Chief Secretary Rakesh Singh. Mr Singh was a competent administrator and compassionate human being. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family."
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh condoled the sad demise of Rakesh Singh. Chief Minister described the 1978 batch Punjab cadre IAS officer Rakesh Singh as an able administrator, distinguished civil servant and gentleman bureaucrat with the qualities of head and heart, who served the state besides Union Territory of Chandigarh Administration and Government of India on deputation in different capacities with utmost dedication and professional commitment.
