Amritpal’s last location traced to Shahbad, woman detained
Chandigarh, March 23: In a recent development on ‘Operation Amritpal’, it has come to our knowledge that ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh stayed in Haryana’s Shahbad on March 19 and 20, according to Haryana Police.
According to Haryana police, Amritpal was seen putting up in Haryana’s Shahbad, Siddharth Colony. The search operation is on by Haryana Police to nab him. As per to the information a women named Baljit Kaur, has been detained regarding this case where Amritpal was taking shelter.
‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh continues to evade the police for the sixth consecutive day. Earlier, Punjab Police on Tuesday said they had arrested 154 persons for disturbing 'peace and harmony' in the state, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Headquarters Sukhchain Gill informed.
IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill reaffirmed that the situation in the state is totally stable and under control. "A total of 154 persons have been arrested for disturbing peace and harmony in the state," IGP Gill revealed at a press conference.
Mobile internet services suspension extended in Tarn Taran and Ferozepur districts till Friday noon
According to the information, the Punjab government on Thursday extended the suspension of mobile internet and SMS services in the districts of Tarn Taran and Ferozepur till Friday noon. Punjab government has lifted the internet services ban from Moga, Sangrur, Ajnala sub-division in Amritsar and a few areas in Mohali.
