Diljit Dosanjh gets heartwarming 'Saron Da Tel' welcome at Apple studios in US | Watch
PTC News Desk: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh on Monday received a heartwarming desi welcome at Apple Music Studio in the United States for an interview.
A special ritual was performed outside the studio to welcome the Punjabi singer. Before entering the studio, 'Saron da tel' (mustard oil) was poured at the entrance, which is an auspicious way to welcome the visitors and wishing them happy arrival, especially in Punjabi culture.
Apple Music itself shared the glimpse of this heart touching moment on its official Instagram handle, showering love on the singer.
Diljit Dosanjh also met America's famous rapper BigXthaPlug aka Xavier Landum. Both the icons exchanges their views about music and culture and signalled a possible collaboration in near future.
Pouring mustard oil, which is auspiciaous, is known to be a ritual deep rooted in Punjabi culture, to welcome the visitors for the first time while wishing them a happy arrival with a phrase 'Jee Aaya Nu'.
Meanwhile Diljit Dosanjh who is already a global icon, arrived at the Apply Music Studios, carving another milestone for the Indian music industry and setting a benchmark that Indian singers are no onger restricted to Bollywood or regional circuits, leaving an indelible mark on international platforms.
