Punjabi singer Kambi Rajpura sparks row with nude scene in new song ‘Tez Maal’ after Punjab Kings' IPL loss
PTC Web Desk: Punjabi singer Kambi Rajpura has stirred social media and music platforms after including a 13-second nude clip at the end of his newly released song ‘Tez Maal’. The bold act is reportedly tied to a public bet the singer made ahead of an IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
In a video shared prior to the game, Kambi — originally from Rajpura, Patiala, Punjab — declared that if the Punjab Kings lost the match, he would post a nude video of himself online. Referring humorously to Punjab team captain Shreyas Iyer as the “Sarpanch” and the rest of the team as “MLA Sahiban”, Kambi confidently said, “If RCB can defeat our Sarpanch and MLAs, I will dance naked and share the video. People usually bet money on matches; we’ve bet our dignity.”
However, when Punjab Kings suffered a defeat, trolling and memes flooded social media, challenging Kambi to keep his word. The 13-second clip shows Kambi wearing only boots while holding a speaker over his private parts, reminiscent of Aamir Khan’s famous look in the film 'PK'. While the rest of the song features singer Jasmin Akhtar, it is this final segment that has generated significant buzz both in India and abroad.
The nude video has also been shared on Kambi’s social media accounts, further fueling online conversations and media coverage. While some fans have praised his boldness and honesty in standing by his words, others have criticised the stunt as inappropriate and attention-seeking.
So far, no official comment has been issued by streaming platforms or regulatory bodies regarding potential content violations, but the clip’s virality continues to grow.
