Two employees of Jalandhar Improvement Trust suspended
Jalandhar, May 12: The Jalandhar Improvement Trust is in the news once again. According to information, the Local Government Department has suspended two employees of the Trust. They have been identified as senior assistant Ajay Malhotra and junior assistant Anuj Rai.
The action has been taken on the recommendation of the Chief Vigilance Officer for allegedly violating departmental rules.

Notably, the former chairman and executive officer of the Trust are already facing fraud charges. After Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar-cum-Chairman of the Jalandhar Improvement Trust (JIT) wrote to the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, recommending lodging an FIR into the missing files at the JIT office, an FIR was lodged against the then chairman and executive officer.
