Under debt, farmer ends life in Barnala
Reeling under a debt of Rs 1.82 lakh, a farmer allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Maana Pindi village near Barnala on Saturday. The family took him to the Civil Hospital, but he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

The deceased has been identified as Roop Singh. He had three acres of land.
The police said the deceased’s Brother, Nirmal Singh, said his brother was upset for the past few days due to debt.
