Exit Polls 2022: Will Congress overthrow BJP's govt in Manipur? Projections see otherwise
Manipur Assembly Election 2022: The Assembly elections in five states — Manipur, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Uttar Pradesh have concluded and the exit poll 2022 results are out.
As the BJP looks to retain power in Manipur, Congress has campaigned hard to overthrow the saffron party's government in the northeastern state. However, the exit polls predictions are in favour of the BJP.
The BJP has emerged as the single-largest party in Manipur, according to early exit polls. As per the survey conducted by Zee News-Designboxed, the BJP may win 32-38 seats, while the Congress will win 12-17 seats.
According to India TV's Ground Zero Research, the BJP would win 26-31 seats in the 60-member assembly, while the Congress will win 12-17 seats.
According to P-Marq projections for Manipur, Congress has an edge over the BJP in the state. Cong+ are likely to win 31 seats, BJP will bag 17, while NPP and others may get 8 and 4 seats respectively.

However, the election result may come out different as exit polls are not always right. The final results will be announced only on March 10, when the counting of votes takes place.
The Manipur Assembly went to the polls in two phases for 60 Assembly constituencies.
In the 2017 assembly elections, the National People's Party had helped the BJP form government in the state by adding its MLAs to reach the majority mark in the 60-seat house.
