Donald Trump arrested, to face historic charges
Donald Trump arrested: Former US President Donald Trump has been arrested at New York Criminal Court. He is the first ex-US President to be arrested on criminal charges.
He surrendered to officials at the Manhattan courthouse at 1:30 p.m.
At 2:15 p.m. ET, Trump is likely to be fingerprinted and arraigned before Judge Juan Merchan.
The allegations, which are around 30 counts of document fraud, are unknown since the indictment against him is sealed. When he is arraigned, they are expected to be unsealed and made public.
Trump is being arraigned at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse on criminal charges related to hush money payments made to pornstar Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The former president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
