Israel-Hamas conflict: The conflict, ignited by a surprise weekend attack on October 7 by Hamas operatives on Israeli border areas completed one and a half month now.

The deadliest escalation of the conflict in decades has witnessed a massive rocket barrage and a multi-front offensive by Hamas, resulting in reports of several deaths, missing and injured has reached an agreement of ‘humanitarian truce'

For the first time since the war, Israel agreed to a ceasefire for four days, confirming the release of roughly 50 hostages abducted by the Hamas terror group in Gaza during the October 7 attack.

The agreement did not specify that how many minister voted on the decision but Israeli government is committed to bringing all the abductees home.

Israel-Hamas humanitarian truce deal IN POINTS

1. The Israeli government approved the outline for the first stage of achieving this goal, under which at least 50 abductees--women and children--will be released over a span of four days, during which a pause in the fighting will be held.

2.  The release of every ten additional abductees will result in an additional day of respite.

3.  The Israeli government, the IDF and the security forces will continue the war to return all the abductees, complete the elimination of Hamas and ensure that Gaza does not renew any threat to the State of Israel.

4.  The humanitarian truce deal between Israel and Hamas expected to see the release of 50 living Israeli citizens, mostly women and children, in groups of 12-13 people per day.

5.  Despite the humanitarian truce deal, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the country will continue its war with Hamas even after the "pause to return our hostages," until Israel achieves all its war aims.

6.  In another significant move, in order to prevent grain shortages and to restore Israel's agriculture, Israel's Ministry of Agriculture allocated 9 million Shekels (USD 2.5 million) for sowing and harvesting wheat for silage and hay intended for non-living food (fodder).

7.  The deadliest conflict which unfolded on October 7 resulted in killing of 13,000 people in Gaza since Israel launched a ground counteroffensive against Hamas in Gaza. The ground assault was initiated in response to the surprise attack by Hamas on Israel, which claimed around 1,200 people.
