'Nuke India', 'Mashallah': Minneapolis shooter's chilling message on guns after mass shooting leaving 2 children dead
PTC News Desk: US conservative activist Laura Loomer on Wednesday posted images showing that the 23-year-old gunman who attacked a Minnesota Catholic school had written phrases like “Mashallah,” “Nuke India,” and “Israel Must Fall” on his weapons.
The shooter, identified as Robin Westman, opened fire through stained-glass windows at Annunciation Catholic School during Mass. Two children were killed and 17 others injured before he shot himself at the rear of the church. Police said 14 of the injured were children aged 6 to 15, all expected to survive, while three elderly parishioners in their 80s were also hurt.
According to Reuters, citing the US Justice Department, the incident occurred in Minneapolis, Minnesota. AP reported that the gunman died by suicide after the attack.
"The shooter was among those killed, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity," the report further said.
"Two of the injured children are in critical condition", Reuters quoted Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara as saying. Also, 14 of those injured were children. Nine others were undergoing treatment at a local trauma centre.
Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel said the agency is treating the incident as an "act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime targeting Catholics". Among the dead were two children, just 8 and 10 years old, killed in their seats as gunfire tore through the morning Mass.
