Twenty persons were killed and 30 others injured in an attack by the United States and Israel in the Iranian city of Shiraz.
According to Iranian officials, the strike targeted a residential area in the Zibashahr locality of the city, resulting in the deaths of several civilians. Reports also said that two medical workers were among those who lost their lives in the attack.
Israel carried out a series of airstrikes in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, targeting the southern suburb of Dahiya.
According to the Israeli military, the area was hit 26 times in a wave of aerial bombardment. The strikes were aimed at facilities allegedly used by Hezbollah.
Israel said the targets included Hezbollah offices and a warehouse used for storing drones, which the group reportedly uses for military operations.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said that at least 123 people have been killed and 683 others injured in Israeli strikes since Monday.
The latest attacks have further heightened tensions in the region, as clashes between Israel and Hezbollah continue amid the broader conflict involving Iran.
Israel has indicated that its military campaign against Iran is set to intensify, with the country’s army chief announcing that the conflict is moving into the next stage of operations.
Israeli military chief Eyal Zamir said that the ongoing military action by Israel and the United States against Iran will soon escalate further. He suggested that the coming phase could involve stronger and more sustained attacks aimed at weakening Iran’s government and its military capabilities.
According to Zamir, the upcoming operations are expected to put greater pressure on Iran’s leadership and defence infrastructure, significantly reducing its operational strength.
He also hinted that additional major steps are being planned as part of the campaign. However, Zamir did not disclose further details about these potential measures.
Iran has denied reports that it has closed the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Iran’s military said the crucial shipping route has not been blocked, but claimed that the area has become unsafe due to the growing military presence of the United States. According to Iranian officials, the increased US military activity has created security concerns, prompting several international shipping companies to avoid passing through the region.
The Iranian military also stated that the current war was not initiated by Tehran, asserting that it had repeatedly warned that any aggressive move by its adversaries would result in serious consequences.
Iran further said that it had already cautioned that if its enemies took any hostile step, they would face significant retaliation and heavy losses.
The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most critical energy corridors, through which a large portion of global oil shipments pass, making stability in the region vital for international trade and energy markets.

The war involving Iran, United States and Israel entered its seventh day on Friday, with tensions escalating across the Middle East as Iran reportedly launched attacks targeting 12 countries in the region.
According to reports, Iran has so far carried out strikes affecting 12 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Syria and Azerbaijan.
The United States military said its forces have sunk more than 30 Iranian naval vessels during the conflict so far. Among the destroyed ships was a vessel believed to be used as a launch platform for drones.
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said the American military is preparing to intensify its operations against Iran. He asserted that the US has ample supplies of weapons and ammunition to sustain the ongoing military campaign.
However, US President Donald Trump stated that Washington does not intend to launch a ground invasion of Iran. He said such an operation would be a “waste of time,” signalling that the US strategy will likely continue to rely on air and naval power rather than deploying troops on the ground.
The widening conflict has raised fears of a broader regional war, with several Middle Eastern countries already affected by the escalating hostilities.

Iranian General Kioumars Heydari has said that Iran will not stop the ongoing conflict until it achieves its objectives.
He stated that the duration of the war does not matter to Iran, stressing that the country is prepared for a prolonged fight.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Heydari said Iran has earlier fought an eight-year-long war, indicating that the country is not afraid of a long conflict. He was referring to Iran’s experience during the Iran–Iraq War, which lasted from 1980 to 1988.
The Iranian general added that the war will end only when Iran achieves its targets.
He also warned that the enemy will ultimately regret its actions once Iran fulfills its military objective.

The United States tested a nuclear-capable missile from Vandenberg Space Force Base. The missile, called LGM-30 Minuteman III, is often referred to as a “doomsday missile” because it can carry nuclear weapons and forms a crucial part of the US nuclear deterrence strategy.
The missile was launched toward a target area in the Pacific Ocean near the Marshall Islands and successfully hit its designated target after traveling thousands of km.
The Minuteman III was first deployed in 1970. The United States currently maintains around 400 of these missiles across three Air Force bases. The missile has a range of about 13,000 km and can carry multiple nuclear warheads designed to strike different targets.
Each warhead is estimated to be about 20 times more powerful than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima during World War II.
US officials said the launch was part of a routine test and had no direct connection to the ongoing tensions involving Iran and Israel.
The Pentagon has released the identities of two more American soldiers who were killed in a drone attack in Kuwait City on Sunday amid escalating tensions in the region.
According to the US Department of Defense, the deceased soldiers have been identified as 54-year-old Robert Marjan and 45-year-old Jeffrey O’Brien.
The Pentagon had earlier confirmed the identities of four other service members who were killed in the same incident, releasing their details on Tuesday.
Residents in Beirut fired gunshots into the air overnight in an attempt to alert neighbours about the possibility of Israeli airstrikes, as fears of an attack spread across the Lebanese capital.
Witnesses reported hearing continuous gunfire through the night. According to local accounts, the shots were fired deliberately to warn people of a potential strike by Israel Defense Forces.

New satellite images have revealed extensive damage to a missile facility in northern Iran following recent attacks amid the escalating regional conflict.
The images show significant destruction at the Kermanshah Missile Base, located near the city of Kermanshah. According to the visual evidence, several buildings within the base appear to have been heavily damaged or completely destroyed.
The satellite footage also indicates that entry points leading to underground sections of the facility were severely affected in the strikes. These underground structures are believed to be used for missile storage and operational infrastructure.
Analysts reviewing the images said the damage suggests the attacks targeted key installations within the base. However, Iranian authorities have not yet released an official statement detailing the extent of the destruction or possible casualties.
Qatar Airways has announced that it will operate special relief flights from Muscat and Riyadh starting today to assist passengers stranded due to ongoing regional tensions and disruptions to air travel.
According to the airline, the special flights are intended to help affected travellers reach their destinations after flight operations across parts of the region were interrupted.
However, the airline confirmed that its regular flights from Doha will remain suspended for the time being. Authorities have kept Qatar’s airspace closed amid the current security situation.
Officials said that normal flight services from Doha will resume only after the country’s airspace is reopened and aviation operations return to normal.
The relief flights are part of efforts to manage the travel disruptions caused by the ongoing regional crisis and to ensure that stranded passengers can continue their journeys safely.

An Iranian naval warship returning from India was reportedly sunk in an attack by the United States near Sri Lanka on Wednesday, leaving dozens of sailors dead and several others injured.
According to information shared by Sri Lankan authorities, the Iranian vessel IRIS Dena was struck and sunk close to Sri Lankan waters. Initial reports indicate that at least 87 Iranian naval personnel lost their lives in the attack.
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said an American submarine operating in the Indian Ocean targeted the Iranian ship using torpedoes, leading to its destruction.
Sri Lanka’s navy launched a rescue operation soon after the incident and managed to pull 32 injured sailors from the sea. The rescued personnel were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Officials said around 180 sailors were on board the warship at the time of the attack. Search and rescue teams are continuing efforts to locate those still missing.
The vessel had recently participated in the 2026 International Fleet Review held in Visakhapatnam and was on its return journey to Iran when the attack occurred.
Sri Lankan authorities told Al Jazeera that a distress message was received from the vessel between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. local time on Wednesday. At the time of the emergency call, the ship was approximately 40 nautical miles

PTC Web Desk: The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran entered its sixth day on Thursday, marking nearly 100 hours since American forces launched strikes against Iranian targets. The escalating hostilities have reportedly claimed more than 1,000 lives so far, intensifying fears of a wider regional war in the Middle East.
According to emerging reports, joint military operations by the United States and Israel have resulted in the destruction of at least 17 Iranian naval vessels since the fighting began. The strikes are part of a broader military campaign targeting Iran’s strategic assets.
Iran has responded with retaliatory attacks, reportedly targeting US military bases across nine countries in the Middle East. Details about the damage or casualties from these strikes have not been fully confirmed.
Meanwhile, Israel has also expanded its military operations beyond Iran-linked targets. Reports indicate that Israeli forces carried out an attack on a Palestinian refugee camp in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon. The strike reportedly hit the Beddawi refugee camp, which is considered the largest Palestinian refugee settlement in the region.
Amid the rising tensions, Iran has issued a stern warning to Israel and the United States. An Iranian military official said that any attempt by the two countries to force a regime change in Tehran could trigger a major response from Iran.
According to the Iranian news agency ISNA, the official warned that Iran could consider targeting Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility in the southern part of the country if such actions were taken. The Dimona complex is widely believed to be a key component of Israel’s nuclear programme.
The warning highlights the growing risk of further escalation as both sides continue to exchange threats and military strikes. Global leaders have urged restraint, fearing the conflict could destabilise the broader Middle East region if it continues to intensify.
