Air India Twitter Account hacked, no flights cancelled Air India tweet’s a message announcing the cancellation of all its flights early in the morning on Thursday, leaving its passengers confused. Opposing the tweet, the airline later issued a statement confirming that no flights have been cancelled as was being claimed in a tweet posted earlier. Air India’s official Twitter account was hacked this morning for many hours before being restored, the airline has said. "All Air India Passengers please note that no flights have been cancelled as claimed in the Tweet. Please bear with us," read an official note. A Turkish hacker had apparently hacked the verified account of Air India leading to all the confusion and chaos. The Twitter handle was overridden by I ayyildizt group which claims to be a Turkish Cypriot Army on their Twitter handle. "Your account has been hacked by the Turkish cyber army Ayyildiz Tim. Your DM correspondence and important data have been captured," read the tweet. Air India Twitter Account hacked, no flights cancelled Messages in the Turkish language were posted on the official Twitter handle @airindiain, said an Air India spokesperson. All the malicious contents posted on the handle have been removed and the official handle has now been restored, he added. An investigation in this regard has been initiated. One of the posts by the hackers read, “Last minute important announcement. All our flights have been cancelled. From now on, we will fly with Turkish Airlines” -PTC News
