PTC News Desk: Sunil Bharti Mittal, the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian citizen to be bestowed with an Honorary Knighthood.

This prestigious award, granted by King Charles III, bestows upon Mittal the title of Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE). The recognition underscores Mittal's significant contributions to strengthening business relations between India and the United Kingdom.


In response to this esteemed recognition, Mittal expressed profound gratitude, stating, "I am deeply humbled by this gracious recognition from His Majesty, King Charles." He emphasised the historical ties between the UK and India, highlighting the emergence of a new era characterised by enhanced cooperation and collaboration.
