3 terrorists killed as security forces foiled an infiltration bid in Machhil sector
Three suspected terrorists were killed on Wednesday as security forces foiled an infiltration bid in Kupwara district's Machhil sector. A search operation has been launched.
In a stern message to Pakistan, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday said the Army will continue to respect the ongoing Ramzan ceasefire in J&K, but any unprovoked firing will be dealt with a strong response by the forces guarding the border.
"The ceasefire will have to be contextualised. The Home Minister's announcement of ceasefire even as we want to honour it, does not exclude the possibility of the Army hitting back whenever there is an unprovoked attack," she said, adding, "There is no U-turn".
