4 PWD engineers suspended for constructing road amid monsoon rains
Hoshiarpur : The Punjab government has suspended four engineers of Public Works Department (PWD). The three were repairing the road in Hoshiarpur in the rain. An Aam Aadmi Party worker made a video of him that went viral on social media. The suspended engineers include SDO Tarsem Singh, JE Vipan Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Jasbir Singh.
This road is being constructed in Chabewal assembly constituency of Hoshiarpur district. The villages of Nangal Khildia and Sherpur in Mahilpur block are being connected through it. Meanwhile, AAP worker Gurwinder Singh stopped him. He asked not to build roads in the rain. Despite this, he ignored her and continued to work.
These orders have been issued by Anurag Verma, Principal Secretary, PWD, Government of Punjab. In which it was said that the video has gone viral on social media. In which a road is being constructed in the rainy season. The four officers were therefore immediately suspended.
