Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the government's aim was to ensure every poor citizen of the country has a house by the year 2020 while presenting the Union Budget 2018-19 in Parliament today.
“It's our endeavor that by 2020, every poor citizen of the country should have his own house,” Jaitley told Parliament.
The government will establish a dedicated affordable housing fund under National Housing Bank for priority sector lending, the minister added.
