US man who believed coronavirus was hoax attended party organised by infected person, dies

Ever since the world has been hit by the novel coronavirus, everyone is concerned about their health and taking precaution in an order to not contract the contagion disease. However, a 30-year-old man for whom coronavirus was a hoax attended a COVID party and died after being affected with the novel virus.

According to a Texas hospital, the man had attended gathering with an infected person to find out if coronavirus was real. Reportedly, Dr. Jane Appleby, chief medical officer at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio confirmed the same.

Meanwhile, the identity of the man hasn't been provided. Also, the doctors haven't revealed when did the party took place, how many people attended, and how long after the event was the man hospitalized.

As per the report, the man, before he died, told his nurse that "I think I made a mistake. I thought this was a hoax but it's not." The CMO also said that she was sharing the information to warn others, especially in Texas, where coronavirus is surging.

Reportedly, around 8,332 new coronavirus cases were reported in the state as of Saturday. The total number of coronavirus cases in the state stands at 258,000 while more than 3,200 deaths have been reported in Texas so far.
