Delhi: One dead , another hurt as truck hits bike

A 24-year-old youth died while his friend is critical after their bike collided with a reversing truck in Bhalswa in New Delhi on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Puneet Gaud, a resident of New Delhi.

The victims were heading back to home from Sonipat when the accident happened.

A passerby informed the police about the two men — Puneet Gaud and Amit Kumar— lying in pools of blood with their bike crushed into the rear side of the truck.

A police team rushed the victims to a hospital where Gaud was declared brought dead and Kumar is critical.

Meanwhile, the police has nabbed the truck driver, Dinesh Kumar, who was trying to escape from the city.

A case has been registered against the accused at the Bhalswa Dairy police station .
