Delhi shocker: Woman critically injured as car hit, drags her for several metres

Delhi shocker: In a horrific, spine-chilling and dreadful incident, 21-year-old was critically injured after being hit and dragged by a car for several metres. 

The chilling incident unfolded on April 9 in Delhi’s Nand Nagri area when 21-year-old Abiba was riding pillion on a bike with a colleague in Ghaziabad when suddenly a Maruti Swift crashed into them from behind. The impact sent Abiba tumbling onto the road and the car continued to drag her for several meters before fleeing the scene.

After the incident, locals and eye witnesses rushed Abiba to a hospital where she remains in critical condition. 

Meanwhile, launching a swift action into the tragic accident, police apprehended the prime suspect, 21-year-old Sunny Rawal, a resident of Ghaziabad, after CCTV footage of the accident surfaced.

The Maruti Swift involved in the incident was also seized by the police, as confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey.

Further investigation is underway. 

Incidents like these raise serious concerns about the safety of traveling on two-wheelers. The harrowing ordeal experienced by Abiba serves as a stark reminder of the risks faced by riders and pillion passengers on roads.
