Five workers injured in gas explosion in Delhi

Nearly five workers were injured in a gas cylinder explosion at a sweet shop in Delhi. The incident took place at Aggarwal sweet shop in Jwala Puri Chander Nagar early Thursday morning.

According to the media reports, fiver workers sustained severe burn injuries. The explosion took place because of a gas leak and short circuit. When one of the workers entered the sweet shop and turned on the light, and then the explosion occurred.

All the five injured workers were identified as Raju (25), Ramu (30), Kamala (30) Payal (30) and Moni (5). Ramu received 50 per cent burn injuries while Moni received 30 per cent burn injuries.

Police and 2 fire tenders rushed to the spot after receiving the information. Police rushed the injured to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. They are undergoing treatment.
