Indian Embassy organizes Sikh Shabad Kirtan Darbar in Maryland

Indian Embassy organized Sikh Shabad Kirtan Darbar on Saturday in Maryland in US to kick start the celebrations to commemorate the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was organized in collaboration with various US-based Sikh organisations and Gurdwaras at AMP auditorium in Maryland.

More than 200 members of the Indian Community attended the Shabad kirtan programme. Bhai Baldeep Singh accompanied by his ensemble held the audience captive through hymns of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Ambassador of India to the United States Harsh Vardhan Shringla listed out the activities like Kirtan Darbars, seminars, etc to be held in the coming months to celebrate 550th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Harsh Vardhan Shringla also addressed the gathering in this programme. He highlighted various important decisions like Kartarpur corridor, development of Sultanpur Lodhi, etc taken by the Indian Government to honour Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji’s 550th birth anniversary.
