Big blow to Congress: Kuldeep Singh Nassupur and Gurdial Singh Randhawa join SAD; Parkash Singh Badal welcomes them
In a major set back to the Congress, two of its former leaders of Samana, Kuldip Singh Nassupur and Gurdial Singh Randhawa, along with their followers joined Shiromani Akali Dal in the presence of the party patron, Parkash Sigh Badal, at Badal village on Monday.

Parkash Singh Badal warmly welcomed them into the party fold. He honoured them with a saropa each.
On this occasion Surjit Singh Rakhra, SAD candidate for Patiala Lok Sabha constituency, and Bittu Chatha were also present. In 2016, Kuldip Singh Nassupur fell out with the SGPC and joined Congress.

The Lok Sabha Elections in the state will be held on May 19.
