BJP will neither remove reservation nor allow Cong to do so: Amit Shah in Chhattisgarh

PTC News Desk: The BJP will not remove reservations for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), or Other Backward Classes (OBCs), nor would it let the Congress do so, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday.

Shah was in Chhattisgarh's Katghora town to campaign for Saroj Pandey, the BJP candidate for the Korba Lok Sabha seat.

Shah further claimed that the Congress spreads misinformation and is responsible for an increase of Maoists in Chhattisgarh.

Shah stated, "Congress has one formula: say lies loudly and openly and keep repeating them. They say that if (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi ji wins a third term, he will abolish reservation. They shared my fake video. We have been in office for eleven years; Modi ji has not removed reservations, nor will he do so."

"Modi ji used the majority to repeal Article 370 and triple talaq, build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and pass the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). We will neither remove reservations nor let Congress do so. It is a guarantee from Modi," he continued.

In his remarks, Shah also called out Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

"Kharge ji, why are you lying for a family? After losing on June 4, you will be held accountable. Kharge ji, you don't realise they don't belong to anyone... As the Congress is defeated on June 4, the brother-sister duo will be safe, but Kharge ji would be blamed," he stated.

Voting in Chattisgarh's Korba Lok Sabha seat will take place on May 7.
